Hey 👋 I’m Alex. I have a Master’s in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and spent 7+ years building software for the U.S. defense sector. After relocating to Bulgaria, I wanted more ownership over my work, so I moved into freelancing.
My goal was to take on projects that challenged me and made an impact. Before long, other developers started reaching out, asking how to find international freelance work. They were struggling, and I didn’t like seeing talented people get buried on big platforms where rates get undercut and freelancers feel like commodities.
That’s when I realized I could offer something better. I founded Offgrid League to take a hands-on approach, connecting vetted European developers with U.S. startups that actually need their skills. This is my main focus now: helping developers succeed, keeping their rates fair, and making remote work a real choice.
